Individual aircraft covered in this set:

• Hurricane I P2798 as LK•A of 87 Squadron. Ace Ian ‘Widge’ Gleed flew this aircraft through several finish and markings variations as covered here. In keeping with the photographic record, two versions of his ‘Figaro the Cat’ personal emblem are included.

• Hurricane I P3576 as GN•A of 249 Squadron. Although no reference photos could be sourced prior to going to press, this set relies on photos of contemporaneous 249 Squadron machines and production batch similarities to arrive at a reasonable representation of F/L Nicolson’s historically important Victoria Cross action Hurricane.
