Hurricane National Markings – early variation 2
This set provides the modified national markings variation applied to RAF Fighter Command Hurricanes finished in the Temperate Land Scheme between 27 November 1940 and 22 April 1941. An early-production bright red is used as standard for all markings. However, to accommodate different interpretations, especially where in-service airframe refinishing may have resulted in renewed markings, Dull Red overlays are also provided as separate decals.
This set provides for one 1/24 scale model.
• Fin flashes in this set feature a red portion that covers the whole forward portion of the fin, but trim marks are printed directly on the decal sheet if trimming to the Gloster factory standard (equal 10-inch full-height segments) is required for your subject aircraft.
• Two sizes of wing under-surface roundels are provided. That for the left wing features a thin yellow outer ring, typical of the black-painted under-surface of that wing after the 27 November 1940 markings orders change.
• The markings placement guide also illustrates typical scheme variations using this markings set and includes a more general decaling preparation / application guide.
• Available as a Basic set or as a Combo set with the Hurricane airframe stencil data markings set (sold separately as ADD24s104) included. The Combo results in a discount over buying these separately.
