Early Spitfires (pre Mk.VIII)This package contains an extensive selection of airframe maintenance / data markings, including a number of factory and field-applied variations that have been observed for some of the individual elements. This set is compatible with the standard Second World War era Spitfire schemes in all theatres. All currently kitted scales – 1/24, 1/32, 1/48, & 1/72 – are accommodated in this series.
|
Optimized for Spitfire Mk.V Although optimized for the Mk.V (this was the research focus for the set) many individual elements may be suitable for earlier Is and IIs and the the more exotic Spits prior to the longer Mk.VIII and IX (for which see our other Spitfire Stencil Data sets. Multiple variations included for some of the individual markings elements (for example different factory construction number marks on the tail and different wing walkway variations).
|
PBY / Canso / Catalina…Whichever Consolidate Model 28-5 / 5A variant you prefer, this set is compatible with all finish schemes, except the USN-service field-refinished 'Black Cats' and late WWII overall dark blue scheme.
The wing centre-section differences between the early Catalina Mk.I / IB and 'USN-winged' versions are amply covered, and some markings may also be useful for earlier (pre Model 28-5) versions. Some interesting field-applied variations are also included. |

RCAF Beaufighters
Chose from one of four individual Beaufighter TF.Xs in service with 404 Squadron from early 1944 through D-Day to early 1945. Achieve accurate Coastal Command strike aircraft markings in this busy period, and take a nuts and bolts look at the two different rocket projectile (R/P) installations used on operational TF.Xs at the time.
|
404 Sqn - Black Friday &...
Continuing on from our original RCAF Beaufighters coverage, this much more extensive set provides for one of 12 aircraft from the operationally intense January – March 1945 period when the squadron was part of the Dallachy Strike Wing. Accurate markings include non-generic code lettering and some nose art. The Doc is loaded to the brim with illustrated airframe specific technical detail – production block differences, late-war R/P installation, tailplane modifications, and more.
|
Dallachy Strike Wing Beaux
This extensive set covers the other 3 Squadrons of the Dallachy Strike Wing from January – May 1945. Model any one of the various 'flavours' of TF.X used by the crews of 144 (RAF), 455 (RAAF), and 489 (RNZAF) Squadrons in the anti-flak, R/P, and 'Torbeau' roles. Again, the code lettering is drawn specific to photo references (i.e. not generically) and the Docs are loaded with illustrated articles on production block details, tailplane mods, R/P rig specifics, and a thoroughly-researched original article on the type's Mk.XV Torpedo installation.
